New Law Suit Filed Against City Of Newburgh Over Tainted Water Supply

NEWBURGH, N.Y. – A New York City law firm filed its second lawsuit against Newburgh stemming from toxic chemicals found in the city's primary water supply, according to the Times Herald-Record.

The suit, filed on behalf of people who either live or work in Newburgh, claims the city negligently allowed Lake Washington to become contaminated through the use of perfluorooctane sulfonate at Stewart Air National Guard Base, the Record said. 

The plaintiffs in the suit claim the toxins in the water supply created health problems like testicular cancer and ulcerative colitis, the Record said.
